A ditpych consisting of the small oil on wood paintings of a mouth in close-up, one 'normally' and the other 'smiling'. 

From the private collection of a Dutch dentist.

Arja van den Berg (1947) was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem. When she left the academy, she was awarded the Teachers' Prize, which was followed by an exhibition in Germany, at the invitation of Paul Citroen. Arja van den Berg then moved to the De Voorde estate in The Hague, where artists from The Hague such as Kees Andrea, Hermanus Berserik and Livinius Bundt also established their studios. In 1971, she had her first exhibition in the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague. Many exhibitions followed. In 1982, she received the Royal Subsidy for Free Painting. In 2011, Museum Rijswijk held a retrospective of her work.
