Black glazed Apulian guttus made by a Greek colonial potter in the south of Italy.
A guttus was used to pour oil into a lamp.

The center medallion features a depiction of Hercules with the skin of the Nemean lion.
The black glaze on this type of wares is made to imitate bronze.
