Camille Van Hyfte (1886-1966) was a Belgian naive painter born in Ertvelde. He was a butcher professionally. Now relatively unknown, the artist was mentioned in Jakovsky’s ‘Les Peintres Naifs’ and other standard works on naive painting and included in many group exhibitions on naive painting in that period. Work of his is in the collection of the Musée International d'Art Naïf Anatole Jakovsky in Nice, France.
