Mended Linen Smock

A linen smock with lovely repairs all over. 
It has been mended and patched uncountable times, resulting in an abstract masterpiece of shapes and textures.
The piece has been enlarged at some point during its life.
Circa 1900, European, probably French or Belgian. 
This was workwear for common people that was used a lifetime. 
I have worn it and it is comfortable.
